Ravelin wants people to be able to read about managed PAYE and workplace pensions, send an enquiry, and use the same pages with a keyboard, zoom or screen reader. Ravelin Capital Group Ltd (trading as Ravelin) is a private company, not a public-sector body.
The Equality Act 2010 requires us not to discriminate and to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people in how we provide services. That includes this website so far as it is a service we offer to the public and to businesses.
The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 impose a specific WCAG-based duty on public-sector bodies. Those Regulations do not apply to Ravelin in the same way. We still use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the practical target for this site, because it is the widely accepted technical standard in the UK.
alt text so screen readers skip it; interface icons that convey meaning are hidden from assistive technology where the visible label is enough.aria-expanded and aria-controls.disabled so it is not submitted by accident. The contact form does not put CSS transforms on ancestors of select boxes, which otherwise breaks native dropdowns in some browsers. We have not commissioned a full independent WCAG audit of every page, so we do not claim conformance. Current limits we already know about:
select elements. Those follow the browser and operating-system accessibility behaviour, which varies. We will update this list when we fix items or find new ones.
If you cannot use part of the site, tell us what you were trying to do, which page you were on, and which browser or assistive technology you use. Email payroll@ravelin.group or call 0333 050 0024.
We will acknowledge accessibility reports and tell you what we can change. If you need the same information in another format (for example a plain-text copy of a legal page), say so in the message.
For discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 you may seek advice from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or from Citizens Advice, and in some cases from the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Those routes are about equality law generally.
The specific enforcement story for public-sector websites (EHRC enforcing the 2018 Regulations) does not map onto this private site. It does not prevent you from raising a problem with us, or from using equality-law remedies that do apply.
